Documentation
This page is the technical reference for the Prestance Lab Solution. It describes the device, browser, network, audio, and account prerequisites that Customers and Authorized Users must meet to use the Service. It exists to give procurement, IT, and end users a single canonical surface to consult before, during, and after deployment.
1. Overview
The Solution is a voice-first rehearsal and coaching platform for retail teams, delivered as (a) a Flutter mobile application for sales advisors, and (b) a web dashboard for managers and HR. Real-time voice drills run over WebRTC and require low-latency network conditions and a working microphone on the end-user device.
2. Supported devices

4. Network requirements
Pursuant to Section 2.3 of the General Terms and Conditions, Customer is responsible for ensuring that its hardware, software, network connectivity, and systems are adequate to benefit from the Service. The following are the minimum network conditions for a usable voice-drill experience:
-
Sustained throughput of at least
1 Mbpsupstream and downstream per concurrent drill session. -
Round-trip latency to the nearest EU edge no greater than
150 msfor natural voice cadence. - WebRTC over UDP preferred, with TCP fallback; firewall configuration should follow the LiveKit firewall guide.
-
WebSocket support; no aggressive corporate proxy that breaks
wss://connections. - No content-filter or inspection device that strips audio MIME types.
5. Audio hardware
- Built-in laptop or phone microphone is acceptable.
- For boutique-floor acoustic conditions, AirPods Pro or any wired USB-C / Lightning headset with noise isolation is recommended.
- Bluetooth Classic headsets using HFP work but degrade speech intelligibility; AAC or aptX codecs are preferred.
6. Account provisioning
-
Authentication is via email and password, brokered by Supabase Auth
with
ES256JWTs. Multi-factor authentication is supported where the Customer's identity provider offers it. - Named seats only — shared logins are prohibited per Section 5.3 of the General Terms and Conditions.
- The Customer Administrator provisions Authorized Users through the manager dashboard. Bulk CSV upload is available on request.
-
Password requirements: minimum
12characters; rotation every12months recommended.
7. Languages
- Interface (mobile application and web dashboard): English.
- Voice persona: English, with French loan-words for luxury vocabulary. This is intentional and supports the luxury-retail register the Solution is designed to rehearse.
- A French interface translation is planned for a later release and is not blocking for v1.
8. Browser-side permissions
Microphone access — required. The browser will prompt the Authorized User on the first drill session. Without microphone access, the Solution cannot conduct a voice drill.
Camera access — not used by the Solution.
Geolocation — not used by the Solution.
Notifications — optional; used for drill reminders if the Authorized User enables them.
9. What if a prerequisite is not met?
If a device, browser, network, or audio prerequisite is not met, the Solution surfaces a clear preflight check inside the application and refuses to start a drill rather than degrade voice quality silently. This is by design: a degraded drill teaches the wrong reflexes and is worse than no drill at all.
If the preflight check blocks a session and the cause is not obvious, contact support@sparred.ai.
